Riesling Wine

Fill My Picnic Basket
A perfect drink for a summer picnic is Riesling wine.  This crisp and refreshing drink is the perfect accompaniment to any romantic summer picnic evening.  Riesling wine originates from the Rhine region of Germany and typically mates well with lighter picnic food, such as fish, pasta, or salad.

A wonderful way to enjoy an inexpensive romantic date is to fill your picnic basket with Riesling wine and  cheese.  Specifically, Colby or Monterey Jack cheese pair splendidly well with Riesling wine.  For only $15.00 or so, you can purchase St. Urbans-Hof 2008 Riesling and cheese, and just enjoy the flavors!  A perfect tote for your wine is the Bermuda picnic basket.  For other picnic foods, you can use the Cambridge picnic basket.
As the warm summer day is fading into dusk, the air becames cooler.  The sun is tired and lazy as it drifts into the horizon.  Deep breath in.  On the grill, white fish and mussels.  Birds singing, crickets buzzing in the background, and the sky turns yellow, orange, and purple.  The air is still and the flames are dancing in the fire pit.  This is the perfect time to reach into my picnic basket!

When I tasted the wine for the first time, it almost felt like a sparkling wine, like little bubbles dancing on my tongue.  The Colby and Monterrey Jack mix cheese I selected to accompany the wine was soft and creamy with a bit of a sourness that blends perfectly with the sweet wine.
